I started building in Web3 in early 2021 -- when buildspace was just about Web3 tutorials (which actually piqued my interest) and FTX was shining. My sole reason behind this at that time was getting clout on Twitter; all you needed to do was tweet some Web3 jargon and voila (this still holds true).

But when I actually made my first tool with @manangouhari (opens in a new tab) and got real clout from the community, I started to realize the importance of trustless financial systems. I felt very proud of myself—so proud that it became borderline delusional. I had some early mover advantage, but I overestimated its value and significance, took it for granted, and forgot to actually upskill myself. But touchwood, I got back into getting off the localhost soon and learned a lot while working at Tezos India (opens in a new tab) for 1.5 years before I moved to the bay area.

I guess there is no point behind this blog other than yapping and reminding myself that having followers and a "network" is absolutely worthless if you don't create any value. So stop bullshitting yourself with the fact that you still have time while you waste it; you only have time if you are consistent.
